Normandy SR2

This is the Normandy SR2, the famed Frigate commanded by Commander Shepard in Bioware's Mass Effect 2 (tm). For further description, I’ll quote the ME2 Codex Entry:

With elaborate secrecy, Cerberus labored for years to build a new, superior Normandy. The vehicle's many alterations required a craft nearly double the original size, requiring an even larger Tantalus drive core to compensate.

The new Normandy features greater space in living quarters, research laboratory, observation deck, and cargo bay. Its shuttle can attempt to make landings the Normandy cannot attempt. In addition to tightbeam communications, Normandy's Quantium Entanglement Communicator (QEC) provides an instantaneous contact with the Illusive Man. The Enhanced Defense functions, assisting and even supplanting human piloting.

Potential upgrades are numerous: the airframe could support additional armor and an axial mass accelerator, the thrusters could support recent advances in fuel technology beyond H2/O2 chemical rockets, and the hull can mount double the standard number of kinetic barrier projectors, leaving space for stronger shields, easily sustainable via the new eezo drive core.

Sovereign-Class Battlecruiser

The sovereign is the first of a new class of heavy ESS battlecruisers. Derrived from the successful Dominance-class the Sovereign has shifted its focus from holding capacity to combatability, moving closer to the role of a battleship, rather than a fleet carrier.

The huge ventral docking complex, which made up a large portion of its predecessor’s bow section, has been removed and replaced by a solid and fully armored bow like other battlecruisers and dreadnaughts of this design, leaving only a couple of smaller launch bays along the bow's center line. Along with the increased armor and weaponry the installation of a pair of fusion cannons provides a considerable boost in firepower.

Predator-Class Star Destroyer

The Predator was the ESS' first line-produced star destroyer to create the backbone of royal fleet. With a length of over two kilometers the Predator clearly surpasses its imperial cousin, the Imperator I and II-class in both size and sheer power.

Although Star Destroyer is commonly used for this ship, the correct description would be Carrier / Destroyer. Along with the characteristic ventral hangar bay The Predator features a number of launch tubes on its bottom side to allow increased speed and and efficiency in fighter deployment. Additionally, four lateral hangar bays, inspired by early predecessors like the Venator- and Valliant-classes.

From a combat point view the Predator is designed mainly for ship-to-ship engagements with other capital ships. Besides its countless weapon emplacements on the surface and the brim trench the Predator carries 31 heavy quad batteries designed for both frontal and broadside combat.

Like its bigger cousins, the Warhammer and Dominance, the Predator was developed as a ESS and CE R&D project and finally was integrated into both Empires' fleets.

Dominance-Class Battlecruiser

The huge Dominance-Class Battlecruiser, like the Warhammer, is the product of collaboration between the Corellian Empire and the ESS. Designed and constructed shortly after the foundation of the ESS it takes design elements of classical imperial ships like the old Vengeance- and Venator-class combined with high-end ESS weapons and shield technology. These elements make it the ultimate next generation warship combining the roles of command ship, carrier and destroyer.

The two huge hangar bays can hold ships up to medium cruiser size and offer space for a large number of ships and fighter squadrons. Also, the huge forward bay array can act as dock for ships up to Victory-class size.

Like the Warhammer, the Dominance is equipped with the new omega array technology to augment the firepower of normal weapon emplacements to an near super weapon-like level.

Warhammer-Class Heavy Cruiser

The Warhammer-Class Heavy Cruiser introduces a new generation of heavy warships that make the link between normal and super-heavy battleships. Almost six kilometers in length the Warhammer is superior to any common destroyers and cruisers, while state-of-the-art propulsion systems enable it to easily outmaneuver super-class ships.

The Warhammer has its origins in a collaboration project by Kuat Drive Yards and starship developers of the Empire of the Seven Suns and finally joined the ESS forces.

Victory-Class Star Destroyer

The Victory I-Class Star Destroyer, manufactured by Rendili Star Drives, is said to be the predecessor to the infamous Imperator-Class Star Destroyer. 900 meters in length and equipped with two pairs of wings it is the largest starship of its category that is able to land on planetary surfaces.

This OPT is a high-detail version of the original TG ship, which I created for the XWA Upgrade-Project.
